Feel your best this summer

Get outside

Now obviously it is not sunny everywhere all the time, I know as I write this it is raining in the UK but when it isn’t make sure you get outside, soak up some vitamin d (get your head out the gutter) and tear your eyes away from screens. Whilst I’ve been away I’ve made sure to use my phone etc…. less and try to go on walks and just relax in the ocean. It makes such a huge difference in my mood and is one of the most positive things you can do for your mind and body. So put some shoes on and march you ass out the door… you’ll thank me later.

Everyone knows that endorphins make you happy (“and happy people don’t shoot their husbands”) and you often feel great after a run/cycle/walk/yoga…whatever! So get outside or go to a class/gym anything that gets your movin’ I guarantee you’ll feel amazing afterwards.

I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again, hydration is so important. It stops bloat (hellooooo bikini season) and helps everything run smoother. It also clears your skin, makes your eyes sparkle and gives you energy. So drink up! Get a cute (glass or BPA free) water bottle that fits in your bag and then there’s no excuse not to get in the daily recommended amount.

Lots of love

Spending time with loved ones is so important. Whether it’s ringing up a friend who you haven’t spoken to for a while or going shopping with your Mum. Make sure to get that time in with the ones who are close to you. Summer is a great time to do this because school and uni has broken up and a lot of people have more spare time and time off work. So make the most of it and show the people in your life how much you appreciate them!

Make the most of each day

Perhaps the most important tip out of them all, I always feel my best when I collapse into bed at the end of a day tired but satisfied at how much I have accomplished and done. It can be so tempting to just mooch in the summer time and not make the most of every day. Go exploring, do something you love everyday; you could write a summer list of everything you’d love to do over the next 1 or 2 months and then try and tick a few off everyday. Not only will you feel satisfied but you’ll experience things you never would have and create amazing memories to look back on!

I hope these slightly cringe (but EFFECTIVE) tips have given you some summer inspiration to feel your best in these upcoming weeks/months.

Enjoy some R&R in the sunshine and I’ll talk to ya later
